If you need some time to recharge but don’t want to go on a remote yoga retreat far away from everything, our Mykonos yoga holiday offers just the perfect balance – there’s plenty to see and do, but there’s also plenty of quiet time and space to relax.
And we don't think you need to deprive yourself on a yoga retreat – yoga is at the core of our retreats, but we do like to enjoy a nice holiday at the same time.
We'll stay at a gorgeous 5* hotel on the beach, enjoy delicious meals and spa treatments, we’ll offer up day trips and plan group dinners, but everything is optional – completely up to you.
Mykonos is absolutely beautiful, and we’ll be there to take care of all your needs and show you all our favorite places.

Sure! We have all yoga levels on our retreats from beginners to advanced, and Holly Warren our yoga teacher will modify poses so you can practice at your own pace. Holly is absolutely fantastic, she has over 20 years of experience and teaches people to become yoga teachers. So you’ll most definitely learn a lot from her and you’ll surely see an improvement in your own practice.
She’ll teach a Vinyasa flow class in the morning, which is quite active and invigorating, and a heavenly restorative Yin yoga class in the evening with a longer relaxation. All on a lovely terrace in the shade of a Greek church, with spectacular views out to sea.
Come along even on your own:
Our groups are small, normally 10-12 people, and we welcome solo travelers – on average about half of the people on our yoga retreats come on their own. We have people joining us from all over the world – many European countries, the US and Canada, Australia, South Africa to name a few.
8:30–10am: Vinyasa flow yoga class
11am–6pm: Free time, beach, town, spa..
6–7pm: Restorative Yin yoga class
Evening: Dinner in town or beach
We are hosting our yoga retreat at the 5* Myconian Imperial Hotel & Thalasso Spa:
We tried out numerous hotels in Mykonos before settling on this one – it is truly wonderful! A member of The Leading Hotels Of The World, the Myconian Imperial Hotel & Thalasso Spa is located directly on Elia beach, one of the most beautiful spots on Mykonos. The hotel is an easy commute into town, with regular shuttle service throughout the day.
It has its own private beach (and you can find many of us there during the day!), a thalasso-therapy center (and yes we go there often as well, you get a complementary daily treatment on us), two outdoor pools and a health center.
Not to mention the spa facilities: sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, two indoor heated pools, aromatherapy services, massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. It’s been voted one of the top spas in Greece – definitely worth a treat.
We’ll stay in spacious Deluxe Seaview rooms with gorgeous views, and they’ll come by and clean your room twice a day. There are also several restaurants at the hotel including a fine-dining Greek restaurant, poolside lunch service, an international cuisine option, a restaurant offering grilled meat and seafood, and a low-key outdoor cocktail bar.
Mykonos is known worldwide for its jet-setting crowd, but there’s so much more to this lovely island. We know it well and will be happy to give you all sorts of recommendations:
There are over 20 gorgeous beaches, some with umbrellas and sunbeds, and some more secluded – many are worth a day trip. And a trip to Mykonos is not complete without a visit to the charming main town – a maze of narrow streets and white-washed houses right by the sea. It’s quiet during the day, perfect for boutique shopping. And in the evening, the town comes alive with locals and tourists taking a stroll and sitting outside the restaurants and cafés. The sunsets overlooking the famous Little Venice near the windmills are magical – another must.
We love to eat well, and Mykonos has fantastic food. It's super fresh and healthy – your typical Mediterranean diet. We’ll take you to the most delicious restaurants in town and on the beach. And for those who have some energy left after dinner, there’s something for everyone, from cozy cafés by the sea to bustling bars with all the latest hits. We’ll even go dancing one evening for those who want to experience the fun Mykonos nightlife!
Some of us love to just lounge on the beach, but there's plenty more to do:
DAY TRIP TO DELOS
Take a boat trip to Delos island and discover one of the greatest centers of Greece's past. The excursion can be done in one day.
Mykonos streets are lined with boutique shops ranging from hand-made jewelry to brand names. They're open all day and some past midnight.
Windsurfing and kitesurfing, scuba-diving, parasaling and water skiing – all options available close to our hotel. Or spend the afternoon on a sailing trip around the island.
Pamper yourself with a massage at the spa, detoxify in the steambath or jacuzzi and enjoy a daily thalasso-therapy treatment on us.
Explore the hidden beauties of Mykonos town, get lost in narrow streets, sit at a café near the harbor, or wander into a local art gallery.
…discover one of the many beaches on this beautiful island and go for a refreshing swim in between yoga classes.

Mykonos can be reached either by airplane or boat. Some airlines fly directly to Mykonos only on certain days of the week.
The airlines below have direct flights to Mykonos from several European cities:
Easyjet, Thomson, Air Berlin, FlyNiki, Vueling, Meridiana, Blu-express, Condor, TUIfly, Germanwings, JetairFly, Lauda, Transavia, Aegean Airlines, Olympic Air
We strongly suggest booking your flights in advance – airline prices increase substantially. If direct flights are not available, an alternative is to fly to Athens and then take a fast boat or internal flight to Mykonos on Aegean Airlines (40 minute flight).
There are daily fast catamaran boats from the port of Rafina (closest to Athens airport). The trip takes approximately two hours. There are also boats from port of Piraeus in Athens city center: from here the trip takes approximately 5 hours by ferry, or 3-4 hours by high-speed boat. For all boat schedules visit the Greek Travel Pages website.
Once in Mykonos, your transfer to the hotel will be waiting to meet you.
Plan to arrive at some point on the first day, yoga classes will start the next morning.
If you wish to arrive earlier or stay longer, please let us know, we can help arrange that with the hotel.
If you'd like to join us, please contact Yoga Escapes. Please note that space is limited.
IN THE PRESS:
"It was like arriving with a ready made group of friends, all such lovely people."
We'll show you the hidden gems of the area, take you to the most delicious restaurants, and organize day trips to beautiful beaches and towns.
Our groups are small and we have two Yoga Escapes reps at every location. Our yoga teachers are of the highest level from top yoga studios in London, and no one feels guilty for sleeping in or spending time on their own.
