Important note - please read before checking / booking flights!

If you need some time to recharge on a luxury yoga retreat but don't want to go somewhere secluded from everything, our Mykonos yoga holiday offers just the perfect balance – 5-star luxury with plenty to see and do, but there's also plenty of quiet time and space to relax.

And we don't think you need to deprive yourself on a yoga retreat – yoga is at the core of our retreats, but we do like to enjoy a nice holiday at the same time.

We'll stay at a gorgeous 5* hotel on the beach, enjoy delicious meals and spa treatments, we’ll offer up day trips and plan group dinners, but everything is optional – completely up to you.

Mykonos is absolutely beautiful, and we’ll be there to take care of all your needs and show you the nicest corners of the island.

What to expect?

  • Yoga twice a day with amazing views

  • A superb 5* hotel on the beach

  • Large seaview rooms

  • Delicious healthy meals

  • Top-rated spa in Greece

  • Thalasso-therapy treatments

  • Charming town with cafés and shops

  • Stunning beaches

  • Plenty of activities and day trips

  • An easygoing group

  • No rules, we eat and drink what we like

  • Personalized service with two Yoga Escapes reps on location

What style of yoga classes, and can beginners join?

Sure! We have all yoga levels on our retreats from beginners to advanced, and Holly Warren our yoga teacher will modify poses so you can practice at your own pace. Holly is absolutely fantastic, she has over 20 years of experience and teaches people to become yoga teachers. So you’ll most definitely learn a lot from her and you’ll surely see an improvement in your own practice.

She’ll teach a Vinyasa flow class in the morning, which is quite active and invigorating, and a heavenly restorative Yin yoga class in the evening with a longer relaxation. All on a lovely terrace in the shade of a Greek church, with spectacular views out to sea.

Come along even on your own:

Our groups are normally 16 people, and we welcome solo travelers – on average about half of the people on our yoga retreats come on their own. We have people joining us from all over the world – many European countries, the US and Canada, Australia, South Africa just to name a few.

Daily itinerary:

8:30–10am:    Vinyasa flow yoga class

10–11am:       Breakfast

11am–6pm:    Free time, beach, town, spa..

6–7pm:           Restorative Yin yoga class

Evening:         Dinner in town or beach

Here are more details below - or contact us with any questions or to book your place.

We are hosting our yoga retreat at the 5* Myconian Imperial Hotel & Thalasso Spa and at the 5* Avaton Hotel and Spa:

We tried out numerous hotels in Mykonos before settling on these two sister hotels – they are truly wonderful! Members of The Leading Hotels Of The World, the Myconian Imperial Hotel & Thalasso Spa and the Myconian Avaton Resort are located directly on Elia beach, one of the most beautiful spots on Mykonos. The hotels are an easy commute into town, with regular shuttle service throughout the day. They've also just been completely renovated this year to an impeccable high standard.

They have a private beach (and you can find many of us there during the day!), a thalasso-therapy center, two outdoor pools and a health center.

Not to mention the spa facilities: sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, two indoor heated pools, aromatherapy services, massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. It’s been voted one of the top spas in Greece – definitely worth a treat.

We’ll stay in spacious Premium Seaview rooms, renovated this year and with gorgeous views, and housekeeping twice a day. There are also several restaurants at the hotels including a fine-dining Greek restaurant, poolside lunch service, an international cuisine option, a restaurant offering grilled meat and seafood, and a low-key outdoor cocktail bar.

The yoga week from the 20-27 May 2017 will be held at the Avaton, while all the other yoga weeks will be held at the Imperial.

Mykonos is known worldwide for its jet-setting crowd, but there’s so much more to this lovely island. We know it well and will be happy to give you all sorts of recommendations:

There are over 20 gorgeous beaches, some with umbrellas and sunbeds, and some more secluded – many are worth a day trip. And a trip to Mykonos is not complete without a visit to the charming main town – a maze of narrow streets and white-washed houses right by the sea. It’s quiet during the day, perfect for boutique shopping. And in the evening, the town comes alive with locals and tourists taking a stroll and sitting outside the restaurants and cafés. The sunsets overlooking the famous Little Venice near the windmills are magical – another must.

We love to eat well, and Mykonos has fantastic food. It's super fresh and healthy – your typical Mediterranean diet. We’ll take you to the most delicious restaurants in town and on the beach. And for those who have some energy left after dinner, there’s something for everyone, from cozy cafés by the sea to bustling bars with all the latest hits. We’ll even go dancing one evening for those who want to experience the fun Mykonos nightlife!

Important note when checking / booking flights!

In order to get the lowest possible price for your flight, please only search/book using:

Incognito Window in Chrome: when in Chrome go to File —> New Incognito Window

Private Window in Safari: when in Safari go to File —> New Private Window

Airlines monitor when people keep searching for the same dates, and this jacks up the price for you (and for everyone else!). Searching with a Private/ Incognito window will avoid price hikes for all. Thank you!

The airlines below have direct flights to Mykonos from several European cities:

Easyjet, Thomson, Air Berlin, FlyNiki, Vueling, Meridiana, Blu-express, Condor, TUIfly, Germanwings, JetairFly, Lauda, Transavia, Aegean Airlines, Olympic Air

We strongly suggest booking your flights in advance – airline prices increase substantially. If direct flights are not available, an alternative is to fly to Athens and then take a fast boat or internal flight to Mykonos on Aegean Airlines (40 minute flight).

There are daily fast catamaran boats from the port of Rafina (closest to Athens airport). The trip takes approximately two hours. There are also boats from port of Piraeus in Athens city center: from here the trip takes approximately 5 hours by ferry, or 3-4 hours by high-speed boat. For all boat schedules visit the Greek Travel Pages website.

Once in Mykonos, your transfer to the hotel will be waiting to meet you.

Plan to arrive at some point on the first day (Saturday), yoga classes will start the next morning.

If you wish to arrive earlier or stay longer, please let us know, we can help arrange that with the hotel.

If you'd like to join us on our Mykonos luxury yoga retreat, please contact Yoga Escapes. Please note that space is limited.
