Why deprive yourself on a yoga retreat?

myconian imperial hotel mykonos greeceWe believe that a yoga holiday is meant to be a real treat, a break from everyday life and time to relax. But we don’t believe you need to deprive yourself.

Here at Yoga Escapes, our luxury yoga holidays allow you to let go and enjoy yourself. We stay at luxurious 5* hotel on beautiful beaches, we pamper ourselves at high-end spas and treat ourselves to good food and wine.

We think that combining wonderful yoga classes and a bit of 5* pampering and delicious meals is the perfect yoga holiday – and that’s what makes us different. Top-quality yoga classes are at the core of our trips, but we also make sure you enjoy the holiday part as much as the yoga part. We don’t have any rules nor restrictions, you decide how you’d like to spend your time with us, and everything is optional. In addition to the wonderful yoga, there are many things to see and do on our luxury yoga holidays.

Top things to do on each of our yoga holiday destinations:

Elia Beach Yoga Retreat MykonosIn Mykonos Greece…

Relax on over 20 gorgeous beaches and explore the stunning town of Mykonos, with its whitewashed houses, narrow streets, boutique shops and art galleries. In the evening, watch the sunset overlooking the famous Little Venice and then wind down with a cocktail and delicious food in one of the many restaurants the island has to offer.

If you’re in the mood for dancing, then there’s plenty of nightlife to enjoy. During our yoga week in Mykonos, we stay at the 5* Myconian Imperial Hotel & Thalasso Spa.

In Crete Greece…view of chania town crete greece

Chania is by far the most beautiful and picturesque town in Crete, and some would say in all of Greece. The Venetian harbor is the trademark of the city, where you could easily spend the day watching the world go by with a coffee or glass of wine.

Discover Crete’s charming fishing villages, or take a hiking trip along one of Crete’s gorges and cool off with a refreshing swim. On our yoga retreat in Crete, we stay at the 5* Atlantica Kalliston.

In Sicily Italy..street market in sicily on a yoga retreat

Sicily is considered one of Italy’s gems, with its charming baroque towns, stunning architecture, gorgeous beaches and archaeological treasures dating back some 2700 years. Stroll the magical streets of Ortigia, where ancient Greece and 18th century Baroque jostle for space, or step back in time visiting Siracusa’s Archeological sites and Greek theatre.

Here you will also find the best gelato you have ever tasted…guaranteed!  Take a trip to the highly recommended Vendicari Natural Reserve for a day on a secluded beach and wonderful walks along the coast. And of course, a trip to Sicily is not complete without a wine tasting tour to sample the top-quality wines. During our yoga retreat in Sicily, we stay at the 5* Grand Hotel Minareto.

In Menorca Spain…menorca spain yoga retreat with yoga escapes

Menorca’s gentle pace and unspoiled landscape make you feel immediately relaxed. It has an authentic Spanish feel to it and is much less busy that an its neighbors Ibiza and Mallorca – the ideal place for a yoga retreat.

Menorca has a beautiful coastline with numerous gorgeous beaches, there are hiking trails and horseback riding trails, as well as cycling lanes that criss-cross the island. You can also visit the elegant towns of Mahon, the current capital, and Ciutadella, as well charming Fornells and Es Castell.

One of the best ways to see the island is by boat – there are organized daily boat trips around the island to see the more remote beaches with bright white sand and gorgeous blue waters. During our yoga retreat in Spain, we stay at the luxury Melia Cala Galdana hotel on the prettiest beach of the island.

In Egypt…kempinski hotel egypt yoga retreat

Soma Bay is considered to be the Red Sea’s premier leisure destination, with endless beaches, lagoons and islands to visit on day trips  – the perfect destination for a beach yoga holiday. There’s a lovely marina and a promenade for an evening stroll, and for the more adventurous there’s a day trip to Luxor or the famous Monasteries nearby.

The food is superb, offering world class cuisine in a variety of restaurants, stylish cafés and beach front bars. On our yoga holiday in Egypt, we stay at the beautiful 5* Kempinski Hotel.

If all of this sounds like too much work, you can always spend your days relaxing by the pool or on the beach, you decide!
